Funding

The Childcare Team has limited funding to support providers in a variety of ways:

Assisted Places

these are available to children of lower income families; in order that children can access playgroups or nurseries for at least one session a week.

Start Up Grants

providers are invited to apply for these grants to assist in the establishment of new provision, such as; playgroups, parent and toddler groups, Clylch Ti A Fi, Clylch Meithrin e.t.c.

Sustainable Grants

Each year providers are invited to apply for these grants to assist in the development of provision e.g. new playarea; renew toys e.t.c.

Childminder Start Up Grants

Newly registered Childminders are invited to apply for a grant which includes free insurance for the first year as part of the Quality Start pack and some extra money to put towards purchasing safety equipment and other provisions in order to comply with inspection requirements.

Training Grants

These grants are available to all providers on a first come first served basis. They provide a contribution towards accredited training courses.
