Language and Play (LAP)
The focus of LAP is now within Bridgend schools and is delivered by school staff to children up to the age of 5.
Flying Start staff also deliver the new programme to children aged 0-3, within the Flying Start areas.
Aims
- To enhance language development
- To help parents explore ways of playing with and listening and talking to their children
- To familiarise parents with Welsh phrases, rhymes and songs.
- To encourage parents to share books and stories with babies and young children.
- To develop the understanding and confidence of parents.
