Childcare Approval Scheme

The Home Childcare Approval Scheme in Wales took effect in February 2007 under the National Assembly for Wales. For more information visit Wales.gov.uk The scheme verifies that the applicant has:

  • a suitable childcare qualification
  • has undergone appropriate first aid training
  • has had a CRB check.

The childcare approval scheme is now being regulated by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales.
